Fair use and acceptable use
Last updated October 7, 2026 · McIntosh.Farm LLC
TractorTrack is priced low so small and mid-size farms can afford it. That works as long as everyone uses it the way it’s meant to be used: keeping maintenance records for their own equipment. This policy is part of our terms of service.
Plan limits
| Free | Farm | Operation | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Machines | 2 | 15 | 250 |
| People | 2 | 5 | 50 |
“Machines” counts every piece of equipment in the farm account (tractors, trucks, mowers, implements and so on). “People” counts members of the farm account, including the owner.
Need more? If you run more than 250 machines, or manage equipment for other farms as a dealer, service shop, fleet manager or consultant, email support@mcintosh.farm and we’ll set up a plan that fits.
If you reach a limit, you can’t add more until you upgrade or remove something. We never hide, lock or delete records you already have, and export always works.
Fair use
One farm account is for one farm or operation: the people who own, work on or help run it. Please don’t:
- Use one farm account to keep records for several unrelated farms or customers (ask us about a plan for that instead).
- Share one person’s sign-in between several people. Invite them as members instead.
- Create several free accounts for the same farm to get around plan limits.
- Store things unrelated to equipment maintenance, or use notes fields as general file storage.
- Sync or call the service far more often than the TractorTrack apps do on their own, or run automated scripts against it, without asking us first.
Normal heavy use is fine: a busy season, a big fleet within your plan, or many members logging hours every day. If an account’s use is far beyond what’s typical for its plan and affects the service for others, we’ll contact you first to work it out, usually by suggesting a plan that fits.
Not allowed
- Anything illegal, or storing content you don’t have the right to store.
- Using invitations to send spam or unwanted email.
- Trying to access another farm’s records, other people’s accounts, or our systems beyond your own access.
- Probing, scanning or load-testing the service, or trying to break its security, except as allowed by our security policy.
- Interfering with the service: overloading it, getting around rate limits, or spreading malware.
- Copying the service, scraping it, or reselling access to it.
- Pretending to be someone else, or misrepresenting your connection with a farm.
What happens if this policy is broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may contact you and ask you to stop, limit how fast an account can sync, suspend features, or suspend or close the account. For fair-use issues we’ll always contact you first. We act immediately only when needed to protect the service, other users, or the law (for example, active attacks, spam or illegal content).
Unless the content itself is illegal, you’ll still be able to export your records before an account is closed.
